Introducing this week's #TapeTuesday, a nostalgic trip back to the roots of my musical journey. Join me in revisiting the early days of the "Guitar Improv" series, where I embarked on a series of practice sessions in the 90's. Today, I present to you the very first improv jam from that era, unedited and only minimally processed when captured to digital.
I first posted a series of these recordings several years ago - for those who missed this previous run, these tracks capture pure moments of improvisation as I let my guitar soar over a solid drums and bass backing track from my trusty Yamaha RY-10 sequencer, recorded on a humble 2-track TEAC cassette deck (I used both a W-505R and W-450R on this series). Get ready to immerse yourself - warts-and-all - in the vintage analog charm!
Join me on this sonic adventure and relish the captivating grit of analog music-making. #TapeTuesday
